Tested at the National Pool Industry Research Center at Cal Poly University, Solar Sun Rings™ proved a total heat input of 21,000 BTU per day for EACH unit!
The Solar Sun Ring™ is a passive solar swimming pool heating device made from two sheets of heavyweight U.V. resistant vinyl. The upper clear layer holds insulating air and focuses sunlight on the blue colored lower layer. The blue layer absorbs about 50% of the sunlight and converts it to heat. The balance of the sunlight is allowed to pass through for deep water heating.
Rings are inflatable, 60” in diameter and should cover 70% to 80% of your pools surface. Each unit is equipped with six magnets that are used to attach rings together.
Solar Sun Rings™ may be used on all chlorine or salt water system pools and were designed to be compatible with automatic pool cleaners. Easy to install and remove! Do not over inflate.
